We met in autumn. Fell in love under a canopy of blazing oaks, maples, mulberry trees. Such an incredible, wondrous time of year, that annually reminds us of His glory, of His gifts of beauty, goodness, mercy, love. And yet, as with the natural cycle of trees...blazing into heart-stopping shows of color & splendor...then fading to brown, withering into the barren lacework of winter...and ever-so-quietly soaking in the merciful sun & rain of spring...to finally burst forth in verdant, life-giving greens & blossoms & fruit... So has our marriage been. We can't continually bask in the vibrancy of autumn, nor the fragrant-sweet springs, or the sultry summers...but neither will we have to dwell forever in the cold, bleak winter of our souls.
(more to come...still in progress...!!)
